Turning Bugs in to Features
When Covid turned the world upside down, I used that turmoil to sew the seeds of a new life; it was during this time that I pursued a remote UX/UI design bootcamp.
It took years longer than I thought, but eventually, all of my previous life work would find new implementation, specifically this exciting new field of work.
Academically, I have extensive experience in research and writing with a focus on beauty and human behavior. Professionally, I have over a decade of administrative experience in everything from HR to accounting. These skills helped me immensely in building a company and brand for myself and my clients. As a resourceful and creative problem solver, I know how many problems can be solved and prevented with good design and a functional website.
Since founding Feather and Scale Design, I’ve enjoyed working with numerous artists, artisans, and small business owners, assisting them in growing their brands via launching websites, online stores, and creating content. I’ve worked with products ranging from health beverages to cigars and have enjoyed every project. Expanding a company's strengths, helping these brands grow, anticipating their needs, and finding creative solutions is why I love my job.
And I am successful at it! I have carefully curated a base of happy, recurring clients, who continue to do work with me because of my track record of improved production and revenue for my clients. Providing businesses with end to end business solutions in a more centralized platform is my most valuable service.
In sum, I help my clients with a lot more than building a website; I assist them in solving problem areas in their business. In the same way I turned a global pandemic in to a new, exciting career, I can turn your bugs into features, too.

The fun stuff:
I’m native Texan who has worked as an admin, graphic and web designer with a lifelong passion for arts and crafts. I’m located outside of Austin in a college town called San Marcos, where I received both of my degrees.
I have an adorable cat who meows at me often (usually to be pet) and a small but growing collection of orchids that seem to bloom most of the year.
In my spare time I see live music, swim in Texas rivers, and read cheesy historical fiction. On Halloween, you can find me in an over-the-top costume I've made myself, as well as any other kind of event that will let me to sport my handiwork.
Lastly, I'm lucky to have a huge support network who keep me busy, inspired, and grateful.
